Process

The overall structure of this project is informed by memory. Our memories are fickle. They aren’t always reliable, yet they are sacred. An image can incite a memory, and that memory can incite another more distant memory. The construct of this film works to time-travel, in the same manner our memories do — non-linearly.

With this project, I'm looking for new ways to craft works that can have plots that don't interfere with a raw emotional core. I am questioning how elements of documentary, experimental, and narrative film techniques can work to tell a story while presenting new possibilities for capturing our human need for family and spirituality.
